Today the new Hijra Year 1427 starts which means it has been 1426 years since Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him) moved from Mecca to Medina.
Gregorian New Year on 1st January came and went and this time I did not even make any efforts to come up with new year resolutions. What I had in mind was not to get tied down to conventional deciding patterns and keep thinking of ideas and implement them through out the year. So one is this one......

When I was a kid (and that was not eons ago, mind you!) I remember with vivid visualisation a song in a Hindi movie where the little girl misses her father and sings Saat Samundar Par se gudiyon ke bazaar se Papa jaldi aa jana..... And now I am here in beautiful Oman. Well its not seven seas away just across one sea- Arabian but nonetheless it is beyond shores.This blog I am creating to put my thoughts, feelings and observations for my network of family and friends.
